An Invitation to Explore the Possibilities

The WTLC program supports a Wellness model that recognizes each of us as an energy center. To build and maintain maximum health of body-mind-spirit, we balance the energy we take in through: 1) Breathing, 2) Sensing, and 3) Eating, and the energy we expend through: 4) Self-responsibility and love, 5) Moving, 6) Feeling, 7) Thinking, 8) Playing and Working, 9) Communicating, 10) Sex, 11) Finding Meaning, and 12) Transcending. These are the twelve areas of energy that John Travis has identified.

The human body-mind-spirit is designed to heal itself. Poor health can be a sign of imbalance, often created by the stresses of life. When the body-mind-spirit is given the opportunity to relax and to be nurtured by self and other caring individuals, the inner healer is awakened and given a chance to carry out its natural role of rejuvenating the whole person.

In our pursuit of the right care for ourselves, we often have to explore. To explore ways to encourage and support health, WTLC participants are blessed with a variety of practitioners. Each offers his/her gifts that can assist greater wholeness of body-mind-spirit. Each has years of experience and incorporates more than basic skills into his/her services. Their professionalism is outstanding and an hour with one is well worth the fee. Complementary Health Care encourages each of us to play a large role in reclaiming and maintaining good health. One way we take responsibility for our health is to find appropriate modalities and care-givers who can assist along the healing path.

Complementary care practitioners and consultants at Wellness & Total Learning Center are certified and/or licensed. Complementary care is not meant to replace traditional care. The practitioner's intent is to activate the inner healer to assist the body in responding more quickly and more fully to a total wellness plan. Participants may experience total healing.
